Have you ever wondered why a certain smell or sound would all of a sudden make you feel joyful or sad?
This well-known in NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) phenomenon is called ANCHORING. It basically means that at some point in your past when you experienced joy or sorrow (or any other strong emotion) you also heard, or smelled, or tasted, or felt something on your skin – and now this sensation is forever linked (“anchored”) in your psyche to that emotion.
Since as children we are very emotional, can you imagine how many psychological anchors do we carry around – and we do not even realize it?
You may ask, “So what? Big deal!” Actually, it IS a big deal, if we remember that our EMOTIONS are chemical in nature, and every time we experience an emotion, the chemical structure of our body changes. “Joy molecules” will make you healthier, and “grief molecules” (or guilt, or shame, or anger, or hate… you can continue the list) will eventually make you sick.
That means that “negative anchors” are slowly driving you to the grave.
It gets worse if you realize that not only bodily sensations can be anchored to bad emotions, but also MEMORIES.
Yup, bad memories are the strongest emotional anchors, and they trap bad emotions in us for a long, long time. If we could only “disconnect” our memories from our emotions; remember without pain… Sort of “de-anchor” ourselves.
Well, luckily for everyone attended HealthBoss University LIVE 6/11 and Serena Garcia’s class “Mind-Body Connection” now you know a simple and effective way to do that. Serena showed it in her “Breaking the Mind-Body Connection Protocol”, which I personally prefer to call “Emotional De-Anchoring Protocol”. I think this term describes the phenomenon more precisely. However, you really need to see how Serena performs the procedure. I think, there are certain subtleties difficult to describe in Notes, and they make a big difference.

Serena says, it works wonders on guilt, grief, post-traumatic stress, and even on limiting belief systems that lead to ADDIDCTIONS (like “I am not good enough”, “I am not smart enough”, “Nobody likes me” etc.).
