Abdominal Pain

For a couple weeks I had been having great trouble with my stomach. I suffered from sharp pains, inflammation, bloating, and extreme discomfort. I even went to my local general practitioner to have a Cancer Antigen (CA125) test done to make sure I did not have Ovarian Cancer again.

While waiting to hear the results of the tests, a friend from out of town was visiting for a business meeting with me. After the meeting, she determined that I needed to go to the Emergency Room. Being a nurse, she asked routine questions about the pain. She asked my pain level on a 1-10 pain scale (1 no pain, 10 the most pain). I was currently at an 8.

My nurse friend had begun working to promote the low-level laser for a local dentist who invented this device. She had the product in her vehicle and asked if she could demonstrate the instrument to see if it would help alleviate my pain before we headed to the Emergency Room.

Amazingly in 20 minutes, after the demonstration, my pain had gone from an 8 down to a 3, which was tolerable pain. I did not have to go to the ER that night. The next morning I received another demonstration before she left town. The pain was down to about a 2.

Two weeks later the nurse was in town again. After the 3rd demonstration, I have no more pain and the redness around the area has cleared up. While I do not know what the diagnosis of the symptoms would have been, I feel sure that I was able to avoid hospitalization at the least and even possibly surgery.
While I do not claim to understand how this amazing product works, I KNOW that it works! I would encourage anyone, no matter what the symptoms, to try the low-level laser therapy before having expensive tests done or even surgery.

Arthritis

After receiving my Q1000 I began using it to quiet the pain in my wrist and thumb joints, of course it did not cure the arthritis, but afterwards I had long hours of pain free use of my hand.

I have one of those necks that make a grinding sound when turned from side to side with some pain in the adjacent muscles. I found that the condition could be relieved
by the use of the Q1000 directly on the center of the neck. By using the enhancer on the acupoints on each side of the spine, the effect lasted longer.

I came back from a trip with a bronchiole condition and was treating it with medications. About that time, the fires started here in CA and the smoke and ash were thick in my area. The congestion in my system was not clearing up. I used the Q1000 on my lungs and bronchiole tube which I believe started a clearing process that loosened up the phlegm so I could cough it out. The process was slow but it did clear up.

I have a continuing anemic condition. In August ‘07 my hemoglobin number had dropped to 8.8 and I was not getting around very well. My medical team got me a transfusion of three units of blood to keep me going. Tests of my bone marrow showed that I had lymphoma, a form of blood cancer. I underwent Rituxan infusion therapy which in 30 days brought my H. number up to 11.7. By May ‘08 it had dropped back to 10.8. I hid from my medical team and began using the Q1000 on my pelvic bones in hopes that would activate the production of red blood cells. By June ‘08 my H. number was back up to 11.0 and in July ‘08 it is up to 11.6 – which is very encouraging. I will continue with the Q1000 treatments and share my success with my medical team.

Another of my maladies is squamous cell carcinoma, small scaly growths. After having one removed surgically, I have been working on them with the Q1000. I cannot say that the laser kills the cancer (Note from Dr. Lytle: it does not kill the cancer, but rather helps the body’s immune system overcome the cancer naturally.) but the growths shrink and the scaly tops fall off, leaving only a reminder of what was there – or nothing at all.

I will continue to enjoy my new healing tool and share it with those around me who are willing to grasp something that you cannot hold, chew or swallow. It is sort of like offering the Gospel, some people have trouble accepting the intangible and all that it promises.

Doug Phillips

My name is Doug Phillips, President of the SD Racquetball Association, and competitive open level payer. I am 45 years old and have played multiple sports all my life. In 1990, I was diagnosed as having ankylosing spondylitis (arthritis) fusing of the spine and hips, and had a “titanium cage” implanted in my back in 1999. In 1990, I also ruptured the Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) in my right knee, and was told by two different orthopedic surgeons that I would need a total knee replacement. I didn’t have the surgery, and continued as best I could an active lifestyle while fighting the pain with a combination of anti-inflammatory drugs and pain killers prescribed by my doctor neither of which worked very well at all – the knee was still inflamed and caused a great deal of pain.

While at the YMCA for a lunch time racquetball session in September of 2001, Dr. Larry Lytle allowed me to use his low level laser on my right knee. A patient was having problems driving, and had to focus so intently that she would get severe tightness of the neck and back muscles. Based on testing, I concluded that her left and right brain were not communicating properly as her eyes tried to focus on the roads in front of her.

Crohn’s Disease

I recently had to have 3 millimeters of healthy lingual gum removed to allow access to a rather large area of tooth decay. I used the Q1000 and the 660 Enhancer to the area a few weeks pre-op and 1 week post-op. At my 1 week post-op check, my periodontist remarked that my surgical site was healing wonderfully and that other than the post-op gum appearance, it looked like normal gum tissue. I continue to use the Q1000 to the area daily.
Diabetes

I have been having a terrible time controlling my diabetes. I was using the cold laser ( low level laser) treatment in front ( going through the stomach) under the first rib and was getting nothing done- no results and couldn’t figure out what might be wrong with the instrument. I went to Gillette to see my doctor and she said the spleen is in the front; to get to the pancreas; you need to laser on the back (left side) below the first rib.

I’ve been using the laser on my pancreas now for a week. When I started, my blood sugar was 254; she said I’ll let you go for another 3 or 4 months to see if you can get your blood sugar down. But if you can’t you’ll have to go on insulin.

We came home and I started using the laser on my back and my blood pressure started dropping about 20 points everyday! It went from 245 to 220 down to 210 them to 180. On January 1 it was 184 then dropped to 161 then again to 153 then to 136 and after that to 133. Today it was at 96 on one machine and 121 on the other. That’s down from 254 in a week’s time!

per day was the usual insulin usage. In two treatments using LLLT on the pancreas and an Acupressure points on the hand, she has Reduced Insulin requirements to 2 units per day. She continues to use the laser once per week because it helps her feel so good.
Emphysema

I am a 71 year old man who has suffered from emphysema for over 3 years. I was on oxygen therapy 24 hours a day and could not leave the house and needed help with my bath, getting dressed and even getting around the house.

WAMary R J, age 59 years, has been suffering from Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease with Emphysema. Two years ago, she started complaining of difficulty in breathing. I want to thank you for what is one of the best investments I have made. On the advice of my dentist, I sought out more information on the low level laser that you offer. I purchased the laser a year ago and I want to share some of the results that I have seen. I went to my ophthalmologist a week ago and had several tests on my eyes. He was checking the nerve behind the eyes and was surprised that my eyes were better than they were on my last checkup which was about 7 months ago. He said that there were more “nerve fibers”. I was delighted, but not totally surprised, because I had noticed that the incidence of “floaters” and “lights” were decreasing. I haven’t had any at all for the past 3 months. In the beginning of July a friend mentioned to me that he uses the Q1000 2-3 times a week on his eyes as a preventative measure. I had just been prescribed glasses for reading, so I thought I would try the Q1000 for my eyesight. I borrowed he laser, using it on Mode 1 & 3 twice that day. About 3 weeks later, my vision started blurring again for reading and I had to start using my glasses again. Once again, I borrowed my friend’s Q1000 and used it just as I did the first time. Heart Attack

Just over four weeks ago I had the occasion of utilizing Mode 2 of the Q1000 in an emergency situation. My husband’s wonderful 92 year old Mom, Ruby, was experiencing a full-blown heart attack. She was in extremely severe pain in all of the typical places–chest, left arm, back, jaw. I’m a retired RN who was a supervisor in an intensive cardiac unit so I really had no doubts as to what was happening. Because of her decision not to go the hospital, I was faced with the dilemma of relieving her pain. She had no nitroglycerin or anything else that would stop the pain. I had my laser there so I just turned on Mode 2 for one cycle right over her heart and within a minute or two the pain was gone and so was the heart-attack. We eventually did hospitalize her for a day several days later where they did confirm that she had had a “mild” heart attack. She was discharged to hospice care and God did take her home to Heaven but this was an extremely unusual opportunity to actually find out how it would perform in the middle of a full-blown heart attack. Infections

Ten years ago I had radiotherapy after removal of a cancerous tumor from the saliva gland in my mouth. My ear had been damaged by the radiotherapy resulting in repeated ear infections. My last infection in October 2005 led to a perforated eardrum, and, an acute loss of hearing in my left ear. It was very painful, as though I had water in my ear, with pressure all the time. At first the only way I could feel the effect of the Q1000 was to experience tingling down the side of my face. I became pain free after 2 – 3 days when the pressure inside the ear went after inserting the 660 red probe into the ear for three minutes a day. Since using the laser this way I have not had one ear infection. Not only that, the laser stopped my daughter’s migraines in the first three minutes. I had a big infection under one of my fillings that was cracked then I thought, the pain was getting worse. Inflammation

I still own my old Pegasus. It does help, but I had a chance to use the Q1000 after my recent hip replacement surgery and it was awesome. On day after surgery my leg from the knee up was swollen to about three times its normal size. I began using the Q1000 on mode 1 and on mode 3 and in two days the pain and swelling began to subside. I continued to use it daily for two weeks on the incision and on the areas that were the most painful or bruised. Then I used the Pegasus every day on the incision and the few remaining bruised areas. It has been just a little over 4 weeks since my surgery, and I am already walking with just a cane. I am about a month ahead of most people in my recovery process. Once again, cold laser has proven itself to me to be an invaluable aid in speeding healing.

I have been using this laser for nearly a year and I KNOW it works. I use the laser in my permanent cosmetics business to reduce inflammation immediately after my procedures. Two years ago I was house boating on Lake Powell when a chance wave rocked the houseboat. It was an awkward position, straddling a railing and my left knee was dislocated. I clearly heard the knee pop out of joint, and immediately a lost the ability to walk or support my own weight. I was assisted into a sitting position and immediately began using the Q 1000 laser above, below, and all around my knee. Since we are out in the middle of the desert, the only therapy that was available was ice, anti-inflammatory, and the laser. Over the course of the next several days I continued to use the laser anywhere from two to five times a day. By the second day I was able to walk unaided, although I did have some pain and considerable limitation of movement. After the return to civilization, I had three appointments with a chiropractor, the few acupuncture appointments, and I continued to use the laser on a daily basis. This régime, when combined with some nutritional supplements, resulted in the complete relief of symptoms, and my ability to return to normal function and exercise. As far as I can tell my knee is completely recovered except for occasional twinges. Legions

A lesion under the tip of the tongue was found on routine examination on a 17 year old male patient in April, 2004 (photo #1 at left). The patient was referred to an oral surgeon and the lesion was removed April 04, 2004 and sent for laboratory evaluation. The pathology report diagnosed the lesion as nonmalignant Mucosal.On June 29, 2004, less than three months from the time of the surgical removal, the lesion was back again, only this time it was twice the size (see photo #2 at right). Rather than repeating the surgery, the lesion was treated with low level laser therapy. The 660 Enhancer followed by mode 1 of the Q1000 was applied for three minutes on June 29, 2004. The patient received similar laser treatments on June 30th and on July 1st and in just two days the lesion had shrunk in size by over one half. Four more laser treatments were repeated on July 6th, 7th, 8th, and 9th. The patient returned on July 19th and in just 2 ½ weeks the lesion had totally healed (photo #3 at left)!While Mucosal lesions are not life threatening, they are annoying and worrisome to the patient and normally require painful surgery to remove them. This case history presents a better, more comfortable way to treat lesions of the mouth. Because this method of treatment is so comfortable and safe, low level laser therapy should be considered as the first choice of treatment for any oral lesions or lesions on any other part of the body.
Leukemia

The laser is absolutely brilliant and I use it daily, mostly on my son who has now had 21 months of chemotherapy for leukemia (ALL). He still has 17 months to go. Before the laser arrived he suffered very badly from side-effects from the drugs, including debilitating peripheral neuropathy in his hands. His oncologist told us that he was “doing it hard”. He is now coping very well. The drugs are still horrible but the side effects are not as bad and he shows no signs of any neuropathy. Now that he is in the maintenance phase of his treatment, he is happy nearly all the time, he is physically active, achieving very well at school and has many friends. He has fitted in at school just like any other kid and it is not widely known that he is having treatment for leukemia. He has been hospitalized only twice since the 10 days when the leukemia was first diagnosed: 2 nights when he had campylobacter and became severely neutropenic and 2 nights a couple of weeks ago when he broke his arm badly after being pushed out of a tree at school! He is under the weather most of the time and the chemotherapy affects his appetite, moods and energy levels significantly but he is still able to enjoy a pretty good quality of life. Of course the laser has also been invaluable for treating cuts, bruises, scrapes and all manner of other things.
Macular Degeneration

I have a 70+ yr old lady that I’ve been treating for dry Age-related Macular Degeneration. She’d had AMD for 10 yrs, but it didn’t start worsening until 1 yr ago. Migraines

My wife had migraine headaches for thirty years. Being a chiropractor, we had tried every sort of natural approach we could find to beat the headaches. Nevertheless, she had to eat every two hours to keep her blood sugar stable, and needed to take four ibuprofen capsules every night before bed in order to keep the headache at bay. After starting the laser and receiving the bite tabs, within 2-3 weeks she became free of migraine headaches and does not need to eat every two hours or take ibuprofen anymore. I am a 78 year old woman who suffered from excruciating pain for 25-years. As a young girl growing up in Ireland, I was instructed the proper way for a young lady to seat herself, with ankles crossed. I want you to know how delighted my husband and I are with our Q1000 laser. My husband could no longer drive at night. He said that the oncoming lights blinded him. After about two months of using the laser (he held it up to his closed eyes as you suggested), he now has no problem seeing at night. For the first time in a year we can go out for the evening with him driving. Also, he cut his hand badly while cutting a bagel. He was bleeding so profusely that his friends wanted to drive him to the hospital to get stitches. He refused and came home with the hand bandaged tightly. I find the Q1000 gets rid of pain quicker. It speeds the healing process. If I do a manipulation, the pain is often the same just afterwards, but if I use the Q1000 they feel less pain. The quicker something heals, the less likely it is to recur. If someone feels an 8/10 pain, it will come down to 3/10 with the laser. For back pain I use the laser between the vertebrae on the lumber spine to work in the disk and the facet joint. It’s excellent for inflammation. I’ve also had success with shingles. With regular treatment with the laser at home, this woman was able to return to work after just two and a half weeks. I certainly would not be without a soft laser now. It really makes a difference. Arriving home 9 days after a total knee replacement I was trying to control the pain and swelling with a combination of dihydrocodeine, paracetamol and ibuprofen. I am pleased to report my Low Level Laser Q1000-4378 is doing better than I ever dreamed! Both of my shoulders have been operated on and due to the serious injuries, have been painful. Last month, I purchased a Q1000 laser from Doug Phillips after my wife received a demonstration of this amazing product which, within 30 seconds, eliminated a severe headache she was experiencing. Three days ago, on Friday, May 21, 2004, I was kicked extremely hard by a 1300-pound horse. The hoof struck and smashed my left hand, nearly imbedded a metal bucket I was carrying into my left leg, and drove my entire body to the ground with incredible force. A patient presented to my office on Wed. 6-21-06 with an unexplained rash on her posterior neck region. It began on Friday 6-16-06, at which time she went to her prompt care medical physician. She was told by her M.D. that there was an unknown rash making the rounds and that they did not know exactly what caused it. She received a corticosteroid injection at that time for pain relief and as an anti-inflammatory. When she initially presented to my office, the rash was horrific looking and it caused her much pain and discomfort, although she stated that it has improved somewhat over the past 5 days. Baby Bear, a black bear cub, was found unable to move at the base of a large oak tree in Minnesota. An officer from the Department of Natural Resources recommended that Baby Bear be destroyed. A veterinarian was consulted and his report was grim saying that if Baby Bear had broken his back in the fall from the tree, surgery was not an option. The Q1000 and 808 Enhancer were applied directly over the broken back once per day. In 2 ½ weeks Baby Bear was no longer dragging his hind legs and also had some movement of his paralyzed legs. It took me 9 years to get to see a consultant after being fobbed off with GPs and
nurses. He confirmed what I always suspected, my ear had been damaged by the radiotherapy and this was the underlying cause of my repeated ear infections. My last infection in October 2005 led to a perforated eardrum, and, earlier this year, an acute loss of hearing in my left ear. It was very painful, as though I had water in my ear, with pressure all the time. By chance I discovered Low Level Laser Therapy in March 2006, and the Q1000.

After researching the net and finding no-one in the area to help me, I decided to use it on myself. Despite the overwhelming evidence from research that LLLT was one of the few things that could help me; I still needed to experience it for myself, before having the confidence to buy my own. So I rented the Q1000 and a red 660 50mW Enhancer probe for four weeks, with truly astounding results!

At first the only way I could feel the effect of the Q1000 was to experience tingling down the side of my face. Reading ‘Healing Light’ I realized that this was increased blood flow as muscles relaxed for the first time after radiotherapy. This made sense to me as I know that one of the side effects of radiotherapy is reduced blood supply. I became pain free after 2 – 3 days when the pressure inside the ear went after inserting the 660 red probe into the ear for three minutes a day. What’s more after about a week I could fully open my mouth to take a proper bite for the first time since the radiotherapy, after inserting the 660 red probe into the back of my mouth as far as I could go. Before I could not fully open my mouth to eat a banana or a burger! I had to slot food in side-ways. I was absolutely thrilled to eat normally again. After the month was up, I still had another month to go before the Healing Light seminar, so I extended the rental until I could buy at the seminar. There was no way I was going to do without the Q1000 until I could have my own!

Not only that, the laser stopped my daughter’s migraines in the first three minutes. A reference about the ability of the Q1000 to deal with migraines by causing vasodilatation alerted me to use it this way. Her migraines usually last for three days, but just one three minute cycle on Mode 2, placed over the pain on the head, stopped it in its tracks.

Suddenly I realized that I had a tool here for the whole family! I sorted out my husband’s tense muscles, and dealt with my son’s painful knees from too much rugby. At first he was skeptical about the Q1000, but when he found he could run outside and play rugby after each treatment, and be pain-free, he soon changed his mind. Now when he comes home from rugby with injuries he goes straight to the Q1000.

Because of the radiotherapy I had reduced blood supply to the bone in the skull, which caused an ear infection every month, scar tissue and eventually a perforated eardrum. I got into the habit of lasering the back of the ear to increase the blood supply, with the result that since using the laser this way I have not had one ear infection. The recurrent infections have resulted in tinnitus, and that has come right down over time. It is not completely eliminated, but I use it as an indicator of how much light I give myself. If I have overused it the tinnitus gets worse. I cut back on using the Q1000 and the tinnitus returns to a more manageable level.

Six weeks ago I had an operation to repair the eardrum with fascia from my ear lobe. I used the laser extensively before the operation, and lasered every day afterwards. I decided not to tell the medical staff what I was doing, but when I went back to have the stitches out at the normal time, the nurse was surprised and said that the stitches could have come out three or four days beforehand.

On the basis of this my mother bought a Q1000 for her tinnitus, despite her anxiety about the word ‘laser’! My mother is now confident enough to follow our example and use the laser for other problems. She had what looked like a permanent black dot in the vision of her eye. I had read about the Q1000 for macular degeneration and had used it on my eyes when they were particularly tired and puffy. So we used the light on my mother’s eyes for three breaths, and the black dot disappeared.

We’ve had our Q1000 system for a few months now and just wanted to let you know that it really gets a daily workout among myself, my wife and eight-year old grandson plus using it on relatives and friends as well. The Laser Manual’s instructions and protocols for so many different applications is a very valuable document; very simplified yet very effective. I’m constantly referring to this manual.

By treating my sciatic nerve on both sides I no longer have leg cramps at night; the pain used to wake me up quite often. I’ve had tinnitus for over twenty years and only after a few treatments with the 660 Enhancer the ringing is hardly noticeable. When we feel a cold coming on we clear the lymph glands, treat the sinuses, ears and throat and the next day we’re good to go. When our grandson gets up in the morning with a sore throat he’ll immediately treat it with the laser then go to school. If a cough is developing he’ll treat the lungs and throat then go to school. He’s used the laser for stomach aches, headaches and any other pains that he may have, with great success. My wife treated her
