Have you heard of David Wolfe (http://www.davidwolfe.com/)? He is considered one of the world’s leading authorities on nutrition and longevity. David is also known for his semi-annual conferences Longevity Now (http://www.thelongevitynowconference.com/) – very interesting indeed.
Anyway, last Sat. (June 18th) we attended his program in San Marcos (just an hour drive from Austin). It was well worth our time – and we highly recommend you do the same, if you have a chance. Educational and entertaining.
I too had a few “AHA!” moments. One of them was a pretty shocking “How didn’t I think about it earlier?” type of thing. Here it is – it could be a revealing discovery for you too.
You know how with age you start noticing signs of low energy in the lower part of your body – compared to the upper part? The skin on your feet is getting dryer than on your arms; your foot and knee joints are now producing that annoying crinkling sound scientifically called “crepitation”; little cuts, bruises and mosquito bites are not healing as fast as on your arms or chest; and it is getting more and more difficult to deal with calluses?
Obviously, energy is not flowing to your legs as freely as it should. And for some reason for a long time I thought the reason for this is an energy blockage somewhere in the area of your solar plexus-lumber spine (or maybe somewhere in the vicinity of your first four chakras). These blockages are so common when people have low back problems (and who does not after reaching a certain age?)
Why would I have such a tunnel vision of energy flowing only downwards? Am I not the one repeatedly proclaiming that we are all lacking bio-energy because, among other things, we are not walking enough barefoot and not connecting to Mother Earth?! Total mystery…
Anyway, I finally put 2 and 2 together and had a revelation (thanks to David Wolfe): the lack of bio-energy in the lower part of our body is due to the LACK OF GROUNDING! Our super-duper shoes are actually not doing us much good, if we are not balancing the “disconnect” by grounding ourselves as often as we can.
Yes, I know, for many of you it is an obvious thing. But for those like me still wondering, “Why is that am I seem to lack energy down below?” – here may be your answer. Thank you, David.
BTW, we, of course, put our machines on David after the program (sorry, forgot to take picture) – and as a result, were invited to participate in his next program in Barry, Ontario, on August 25. We are considering it.
P.S. For those of you wondering what on Earth is this thing on the picture behind David Wolfe on the stage – it is a shitake mushroom growing from the tree (David is a big fan of medicinal mushrooms). Good illustration to the way I felt after my “discovery” of the power of grounding…
